A fuel cell comprising a membrane electrode bonded body (2) having a fuel electrode (13), an air electrode (16), and an electrolyte membrane (17), a fuel distribution mechanism (3), a fuel housing unit (4), and a supply flow path (5) for connecting the fuel housing unit to the fuel distribution mechanism, wherein the fuel distribution mechanism (3) has a fuel feed inlet (31) communicating with the supply flow path, a plurality of fuel discharge outlets (27a) opened to face the fuel electrode, and a fuel path (20) for communicating with the fuel feed inlet and the fuel discharge outlets respectively in order to allow fuel to flow from the fuel feed inlet to the fuel discharge outlet, and the fuel path has a plurality of branch paths (21-27) that are provided between the fuel feed inlet and the fuel discharge outlets, have their flow path sectional shapes and branching structures regulated respectively as their locations move from the upstream side toward the downstream side between the upstream side fuel path and the fuel discharge outlets, and have required flow path resistances. |
