The energy consumption and the impact on the environment, connected therewith, of large standard electronic displays, such as, for example, the ones used in football stadiums or during large open-air events, is still very high. The invention combines optimised, adaptable photo voltaic generators having energy-efficient illuminating means, system controls and various energy-saving systems with a compact, solar light display for outdoor use (Solar Media Module), which can generate its own energy requirement and which is environmentally friendly. Said solar light display is modular and is characterised in that a number of illuminating means that can be individually controlled, are energy efficient, are weather-resistant and are arranged individually or in groups and are distributed on a spatial carrier matrix that is preferably two-dimensional and that produces the display image, said matrix being structurally combined with a photo voltaic generator (i.e. photo voltaic system consisting of a module formed from several cells or from several modules) to form a flat (e.g proportional in standard image and film formats) functional unit. The current obtained via the integrated generator surface (e.g. temporarily stored in accumulators or in the public network) is used for the autonomous operation of the display device. |
