摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive method of a display device using a spontaneous light emitting element performing satisfactory display by suppressing a variation in luminance during flash drive. <P>SOLUTION: In the display device performing the periodic flash drive, the flash period is matched with nearly l/n times a vertical blanking period, and nearly 1/m times (n is a 1 or more natural number) by which the periodic continuity in the position and time of the flash drive is maintained, and the fluctuation in the light emission area of the display region is suppressed and the variation in the total amount of the current flowing to the display region can be suppressed and therefore, the power supply variation due to the existence of a power supply impedance can be suppressed without depending on the magnitude of the power supply impedance, and the degradation in sharpness to be induced by the power supply variation is suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
