PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a flexible color filter formed on a film basic material 101 easily without increasing the number of processes and scale of facilities when manufacturing the color filter by a photolithography method on the film basic material 101 supplied from a winding roll. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the color filter, a solvent of photosensitive resist in an effective area 110 is dried by sandwiching a non-effective area 111 of the film basic material 101 between structural bodies divided into upper and lower parts by a batch type vacuum drying device having a mechanism for applying the liquid-like photosensitive resist intermittently by limiting only to the effective area 110 of the color filter of the film basic material 101 by a coater 102 and sandwiching the film basic material 101 between the structural bodies from above and below.
