PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent disconnection of a flexible substrate and peeling of a joint part from being caused by compression of a liquid crystal panel by an influence of contraction due to temperature variation of a frame-shaped frame after assembling. SOLUTION: The frame-shaped frame 10 and an edge frame 30 sandwich the liquid crystal panel. End surfaces 151 and 152 of the liquid crystal panel 100 are overlaid on reference surfaces 22 and 24 disposed on the frame-shaped frame 10, thereby determining the initial assembling position of the liquid crystal panel 100. Relay substrates 110 and 130 fixed to the frame-shaped frame 10 are electrically connected to the liquid crystal panel 100 through flexible substrates 120 and 140. The reference surfaces 22 and 24 are formed of the end surfaces of projection stripes 21 and 23 having flexibility disposed on the frame-shaped frame 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
