PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure sensor which can seal the inside of a pressure introducing hole of a housing without increasing the outer diameter of the pressure sensor, with a reduced parts count, and without requiring a big axial force. SOLUTION: A sensing section 30 is placed within the pressure introducing hole 24 of the housing 20. The sensing section 30 is brought into intimate contact with and fixed to the opening 25 of the housing 20 in the same direction as the introduction direction of a pressure medium. The sealing direction of the sensing section 30 and the introduction direction of the pressure medium are the same, thereby eliminating the need to apply an axial force to the sensing section 30 in a direction reverse to the introduction direction of the pressure medium. This eliminates the need to apply a big axial force to the sensing section 30 and eliminates parts for the same. The elimination of parts for fixing the sensing section 30 can also reduce the outer diameter of the pressure sensor. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
