PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test material measuring method capable of heightening the amount of signals derived from a labeled test material and its signal ratio by reducing effects to the labeled test material immobilized to a solid-phase carrier as much as possible and specifically lowering background noise. SOLUTION: The test material measuring method includes the process for bringing a material for signal generation and the test material into reaction in a solution, the process for bringing a solution containing a reaction product acquired in the reaction process into contact with the solid-phase carrier to immobilize the reaction product to the solid-phase carrier under the presence of a buffer agent of 150 mM to 2.5 M, and the process for detecting signals derived from the material for signal generation in the reaction product immobilized to the solid-phase carrier.
