PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wattmeter grounding apparatus for automatically and efficiently conducting an insulation resistance test of various types of wattmeters. SOLUTION: The wattmeter grounding apparatus 10 includes: a vertical frame 11; an engagement section 13 engaged with an upper part of the wattmeter 1; and an elevating table 12 integrated with the wattmeter 1, and elevated so as to be placed in an upper position and a lower position. An extensible cylinder 14 is attached to the elevating table 12, and extended from a back face to a front face of the vertical frame 11. A grounding rod 15 is attached to an end of the extensible cylinder 14 so as to conduct the insulation resistance test of a case 2. If the elevating table 12 is placed in the lower position, the extensible cylinder 14 causes the grounding rod 15 to protrude from the front face of the vertical frame 11 and abut on the case 2. If the elevating table 12 is placed in the upper position, the extensible cylinder 14 retracts the grounding rod 15 into the back face of the vertical frame 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
