PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator minimizing deterioration of capacities of deodorization and disinfection by cold air while suppressing increase of wind path resistance. SOLUTION: One part of cold air flowing from a cooling means into a storage compartment is branched off, a disinfection device 200 is provided in a wind path passing a branched off branch current, and a cover member 205 discharging un-branched cold air and the branch current having passed the disinfection device 200 into the storage compartment is provided in the storage compartment. The disinfection device 200 is composed of a carrier 201 carrying a photocatalyst, and an irradiating means 202 (a light source LED 132) irradiating stimulating light stimulating the photocatalyst on a position facing the carrier 201 in a storage chamber far side face. The carrier 201 is detachably attached to a support member 206 provided on the cover member 205, the cover member is composed of a translucent ground glass, and it passes one part of the stimulating light.
