PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation structure of a reinforcing column in a column and beam frame capable of enhancing rigidity of the whole column and beam frame sufficiently. SOLUTION: In this installation structure of the reinforcing column in the column and beam frame for installing the reinforcing column 3 in the column and beam frame 2 of a building unit 1, a ceiling beam 4 and a floor beam 5 constituting the column and beam frame 2 are made of channel steel, end part plates 6 are provided in upper and lower end parts of the reinforcing column 3, respectively, and joint plates 7 protruding in the axial direction of the reinforcing column 3 from side faces of the upper and lower end parts are provided on the reinforcing column 3. The joint plate 7 on the upper side is joined with a web part 4b of the ceiling beam 4, and the joint plate 7 on the lower side is joined with a web part 5b of the floor beam 5 to install the reinforcing column 3 in the column and beam frame 2.
