PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always display programs to obtain the latest information, unlike the case of a conventional terrestrial digital broadcasting receiver where the display contents of data broadcasting are updated, in synchronization with programs, but the existence of updating is identified simply by titles, without always conforming to an update of the display contents of data broadcasting. SOLUTION: In the present invention, a terrestrial digital broadcasting receiver is proposed that indicates on a display screen that data of data broadcasting has been updated, when it is decided that the data has been updated in data broadcasting of terrestrial digital broadcasting, and control is performed to display only images, without displaying data broadcasting on a display part. Furthermore, in response to the report, input is received from a user to make the control for displaying data broadcasting on the display part executed, and display control is performed on data broadcasting, in response to the input.
