PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a down time (stopping time) minimum by enabling maintenance of an HDD before the HDD fails due to vibration and shock. SOLUTION: First, a vibration reference value of an HDD device (for example, vibration level whereat the HDD device may be turned defective) is set beforehand (S101), and a vibration detecting means is installed in, for example, a movable unit (S102). When vibration occurs, a vibration level of the generated vibration is detected by the vibration detecting means, and a vibration detection signal and the detected vibration level data are transmitted to a CPU (S104). A first vibration judging means compares the vibration level data with the vibration reference value set in step S101, thereby judging whether or not the vibration level exceeds the vibration reference value. When the vibration level exceeds the vibration reference value (S107, YES), a vibration warning notifying means displays warning information to an operation part (S109), and moreover notifies a device management center of the warning information (S110).
