PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heavy metal recovering apparatus for efficiently recovering heavy metals from heavy metal-containing wastewater by utilizing a substance produced during a wastewater treatment process, and to provide a heavy metal recovering method. SOLUTION: The heavy metal recovering apparatus includes: a producing part 11 for producing a sulfide by reacting heavy metals contained in wastewater with hydrogen sulfide when heavy metal-containing wastewater and hydrogen sulfide are supplied; an acquiring part 12 for acquiring hydrogen sulfide and heavy metal ions produced by the reaction of the sulfide and an acid when the sulfide and the acid are supplied; a hydrogen sulfide supply line 13 for supplying hydrogen sulfide acquired in the acquiring part to the producing part; and a discharge line 20 for discharging heavy metal ions.
