A slider for a slide fastener comprises a diamond 38, a back 47, and flans'32, a longitudinal slot on the top of the diamond extending longitudinally along the axis of the fastener, and an elongated thin pull tab 40 mounted on the diamond in the slot and having a thickness less than that of the slot so that it is pivotable in the slot. The disposition of the slider relative to the slide fastener is shown in Fig. 1; the pull tab 40 may have a detent 46 which locks the fastener when the pull tab is pivoted to a position below cloth members 50, 52 to which fastener element tapes are stitched. In other embodiments, Figs. 5-10 (not shown) the pull tab is respectively curved along its length and formed by a length of wire having a loop at each end. |
