<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock wave ablation system which is a treatment method from an endocardial side and is used for coagulative necrosis of cardiac muscular tissue to be the cause of abnormal cardiac rhythm or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The shock wave ablation system 10 comprises; a shock wave generator 11; and a catheter 12 where the shock wave generator is attached to the distal end thereof. The shock wave generator 11 comprises: an optical fiber 16; and a cylindrical reflection part 17 into which the distal end of the optical fiber is inserted. The reflection part 17 includes: a reflection body 17a which has a center hole 21 to put through the optical fiber and a recessed surface 22 at the upper end which has a cut rotary curve shape obtained by cutting an ellipsoid along a minor axis surface, the ellipsoid having a major axis communicating with the center hole as a rotary axis; a thin film 23 for closing the opening part of the recessed surface 22; and a liquid 24 to be filled into a part between a sealing body and the recessed surface 22.
