IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of setting a user-desired printing pattern to a single-color portion in the case where a plurality of single-color portions having the same color or a similar tone are present when performing number of color reduction printing from a color image.

SOLUTION: An MFP 1 includes: a printing section 16 for printing input image data; a printing pattern setting section 124 for setting a printing pattern that a user can set, for each color; a printing pattern converting section 125 for converting into the set printing pattern for each of colors constituting gradation changed image data in printing with gradations different from those of the input image data; and an image processing section 12 which allows the user to instruct whether to carry out printing of the image data after preview display. In the case where printing execution is not instructed, the printing pattern setting section 124 displays a plurality of other printing patterns different from the printing pattern added to the image data and allows the user to select a desired printing pattern.
