<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal device, which can be downsized easily, and is free from failure caused when mechanical vibrations are applied thereon, and which can be manufactured easily and allows an electrode to be drawn simply from a crystal piece. <P>SOLUTION: The crystal device is provided with the crystal piece 12 having an outer peripheral portion 12b and a vibration region 12a partially separated from the outer peripheral portion 12b by a "U"-shaped cut groove 15, and an upper container 11a and a lower container 11b which sandwich the crystal piece 12 by being joined to the entire periphery of the outer peripheral portion 12b of the crystal piece 12 from above and below the crystal piece 12 through brazing material layers 18a and 18b, wherein the vibration region 12a as a center portion of the crystal piece 12 being hermetically charged in the space formed of the upper container 11a, lower container 11b, and outer peripheral portion 12b of the crystal piece 12.
