PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a two-component developing device which suppresses deterioration of developer in a developer regulating part for regulating layer thickness of the developer and in which a developer layer is stably formed to be thin. SOLUTION: When a magnetic pole opposed to a developer regulating member 33 out of magnetic poles of a magnet roller 32 included in a sleeve 31 is defined as a first pole, and a magnetic pole adjacent to the first pole on a downstream side in a developer conveying direction is defined as a second pole, and a magnetic pole adjacent to the second pole is defined as a third pole successively, the second pole has a different polarity from the first pole and the third pole, and a line of magnetic force of the third pole partially goes over the second pole, passes through the vicinity of the surface on a downstream side of the developer regulating member 33 and separates from the surface of the sleeve, and a line of magnetic force of the first pole partially passes through the vicinity of the surface on the downstream side of the developer regulating member 33 oppositely to the line of magnetic force of the third pole, whereby magnetic force having component force in a direction from the vicinity of the surface on the downstream side of the developer regulating member to an upstream side of the developer regulating member is made to act on the developer.
