PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely eliminate a label when an abnormality is sensed in the label without requiring a complicated mechanism. SOLUTION: When the label 131 on a carrying belt 343 is sensed, the label pasting process of causing pasting mechanisms 311, 331 and 333 to take out the label 131 and pasting the label 131 to an article W at a specified position is surely executed. When the abnormality of the label 131 is sensed before the label 131 on the carrying belt 343 is sensed, and the label 131 is fed out to a label recovery position without executing the label pasting.
