PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect each display part applied to a mulch film with a detection sensor and obtain a prescribed interrow spacing corresponding to the display part of the mulch film. SOLUTION: A transplanter is equipped with the detection sensor for detecting the display part applied to the mulch film laid on a field and a waiting time setting means for increasingly or decreasingly setting the waiting time from the time for the detection sensor to detect the display part till the connection of an electromagnetic switch. The waiting time setting means is configured so as to connect the electromagnetic switch after the passage of time corresponding to the waiting time set by the waiting time setting means from the time to detect the display part with the detection sensor when the electromagnetic switch is in a disconnected state so that a seedling can be planted corresponding to the position of the display part of the mulch film. The detection sensor is installed on the side of an outer lateral part of the traveling machine body so as to detect the display part on the side of the lateral part of the mulch film laid on the field.
