PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telescopic extension rod in which the extension operation can be easily and readily performed by mounting a simple mechanism on the outer circumference of the tip side of the rod body with a small diameter. SOLUTION: An upper butt section 2 is constituted to be switchable between a shrank state of being in a butt rod 1 and an extended state of being out of the butt rod 1. In the shrank state of the upper butt section 2 in the butt rod 1, a protruded part 7A is formed as a slip resistant portion 7 on the outer circumference plane of the rod tip part 2A of the butt section 2 projecting from the tip side of the butt rod 1.
