PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver and an input processing method capable of performing preset operation and/or tuning operation using only an up/down key and a preset key. SOLUTION: When a preset key is pushed, a preset number confirmation mode is established while a preset number is displayed on a display means. If an up/down key is pressed during the preset number confirmation mode, a preset number on display is risen or downed. If the preset key is furthermore pushed, broadcasting under reception is associated with the preset number on display and registered. In addition, if the broadcasting under reception has been preset registered when the preset key is pushed, a preset cancel confirmation mode is established.
