PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment capable of displaying program information on a next program a user normally desires by considering the user's taste in displaying program video and program information about the next program on a television picture at the same time. SOLUTION: Viewing history of a program whose time of broadcast of a view history storage part 40 is shorter than a prescribed period is stored. A control unit 38 retrieves program information about a next program in a program information storage part 30 with respect to a channel selected by a tuner 12 to determine whether it is a program whose next program has a prescribed period or longer broadcasting time or a program which is stored in the viewing history storage part. When the determination is affirmative, the program information about the next program is displayed to the display part 26 together with a program video; when the determination is negative, program information about a program after next is retrieved in the program information storage part 30 and the program information about the program after next is displayed on the display part 26 together with the program video.
