PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit for an air conditione inexpensively and easily preventing failure caused by intrusion of animals and insects into an electric parts box without impairing air-cooling characteristics of electric parts in the electric parts box. SOLUTION: The outdoor unit 1 for an air conditioner is provided with a casing 2, a compressor 3 provided in the casing 2, a heat exchanger 4, a blower 5, the electric parts box 6 housing electric parts for controlling the compressor 3 and the blower 5, and a meshed bag body 7 covering a whole of the electric parts box 6.
