PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid discharge device capable of reducing in size even though it has a plurality of liquid discharge heads. SOLUTION: An inkjet printer 1 includes eight inkjet heads 2, eight caps 61 and 62 corresponding to the eight inkjet heads 2 respectively, and four ink cartridges 91 storing inks therein. The four caps 61 are disposed at positions where they overlap the inkjet heads 2 belonging to one row with respect to a main scanning direction and overlap the inkjet heads 2 belonging to another row with respect to a subscanning direction, and the four caps 62 are disposed at positions where they overlap the inkjet heads 2 belonging to another row with respect to the main scanning direction and overlap the inkjet heads 2 belonging to the one row with respect to the subscanning direction.
