PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive which is soluble in water, a lower alcohol and the like, and has selective adhesiveness wherein the adhesive has excellent adhesiveness to the same adhesive, but has low adhesiveness to other materials, to provide an adhesive composition containing the adhesive, and to provide a cosmetic containing the adhesive. SOLUTION: Provided are an adhesive comprising a polyester prepared from a polyethylene glycol having a number-average mol.wt. of≥200 and a dicarboxylic acid component and having a weight-average mol.wt. of 30,000 to 500,000, an adhesive composition containing the self-adhesive and a cosmetic containing the adhesive.
