PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printing system capable of improving security for printing information by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The tape printing system 1 is composed of a tape cartridge C for storing a printing tape T and a tape printer 2 for printing printing data to the printing tape T delivered from the tape cartridge C. The tape cartridge C is equipped with a storing means 37 for storing printing information containing a printing content used as at least a part of the printing data. The tape printer 2 is equipped with a cartridge mounting part 7 for mounted with the tape cartridge C, a reading means 44 for reading the printing information stored in the storing means 37, and a printing means 26 for performing printing on the printing tape T by using the printing information read by the reading means 44.
