This display device is provided with a receiving unit that receives a broadcast signal and extracts program editing information from the received broadcast signal, a program table generating unit that generates a program table at a selective time slot selected by a user in accordance with the program editing information extracted by the receiving unit, a display unit that displays the program table generated by the program table generating unit, and a control unit that controls the program table generating unit. The program table displayed by the display unit includes a time axis to show a broadcast scheduling time and a program display column display a program allocation for showing information related to the broadcast scheduled program along the time axis. The program allocation to show a broadcast scheduled program for which an arrangement in a selected time slot is determined based on the program editing information as a first program allocation in the program display column. Based on the program editing information, it is judged if there is a blank display region where the first program allocation does not exist in the program display column. In the case where the blank display region exists, a program allocation to show a broadcast scheduled program for which an arrangement is determined in a time slot other than the selected time slot is displayed in the blank display region as a second program allocation.
