<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit disposing a pulley position sensor by using a layout space and the like of a balancer, and capable of decreasing the size and weight of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: The power unit 20 comprises a unit case 21 composed of crank cases 22, 23a and a transmission case 23; the balancer 76 rotatably journaled to the crank cases 22, 23a; a belt type continuously variable transmission 50 stored in the transmission case 23; and a gear shift driving mechanism 60 decelerating the driving of a transmission electric motor 61 through deceleration gears 63a, 63b, 65a, 65b, and moving a movable pulley half body 51d to change a wrapping diameter for gear shift. The pulley position sensor 75 detecting a moving position of the movable pulley half body 51d by the gear shift driving mechanism 60 is arranged between the deceleration gears 63a, 63b, 65a, 65b and the balancer 76 in a lateral direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
