PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging system capable of easily keeping track of the continuous behavior of an object by minimizing a change in the moving resolution of the object and an unnatural change in the switching of an imaging apparatus, and to provide an imaging controller and a control method. SOLUTION: The imaging system has cameras 103-106, a camera controller 110, and an image switching device 111. The camera controller 110 takes over imaging conditions for the moving resolution of a camera capturing the image of the object as those of a camera taking over imaging, when a camera capturing the image of the object is changed to other cameras to take over the imaging of the object as the object moves. In the takeover of the imaging conditions by changing the camera, control is changed over to the one for reducing shock following a radical change in the moving resolution of a photograph image. Also, when taking over the imaging conditions by changing the camera, imaging conditions are transmitted to other cameras except the camera taking over the imaging, which can be applied to not only the moving resolution, but also exposure and white balance as the imaging conditions.
