PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal capable of canceling usage limitation for a storage medium memorizing operator information under a certain condition, and restricting a part of facility according to the contract status. SOLUTION: The cellular phone can utilize a SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card of the other operator for a fixed time duration, upon condition that a contract is made appropriately with a selling operator of the cellular phone. As for the cellular phone 3, a communication contract is made with the selling operator. The cellular phone 3 has facility to confirm the contract with the selling operator, by communicating with the selling operator system 4. When the contract is confirmed, function limitation by SIM lock is canceled for a fixed time duration. Since function limitation by SIM lock is canceled for a fixed time duration, if a SIM card 7 of other operator is installed, the cellular phone 3 functions as a cellular phone of the other operator and can connect to a system 6 of the other operator.
