PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device, capable of reducing pretransfer and peeling discharge from the initial stage of use to the later stage through a simple structure without leading to increase in size and cost of the device to obtain a high-quality image. SOLUTION: This image forming device typically comprises a photoreceptor drum 2, an intermediate transfer belt 20, a conductive transfer sheet 5 which makes face contact with the intermediate transfer belt 20, an elastic member 15 which makes face contact with the transfer sheet 5, and a primary transfer power source 40a for applying a transfer voltage to the transfer sheet 5, and transfers a developer image formed on the photoreceptor drum 2 onto the intermediate transfer belt 20 or a recording material on the intermediate transfer belt 50 by the transfer sheet 5 to which the transfer voltage is applied. On the contact surface side of the transfer sheet 5 with the intermediate transfer belt 20, the end side of the transfer sheet 5 is pulled toward the rotating directional upstream side of the intermediate transfer belt 20, compared with the sheet width directional center part thereof.
