A call initiating method for digital trunking communication terminal, which comprises the steps of: a hardware driving control unit sending a fast call initiating message to a call managing unit after detecting the pressing of the call initiating key; if the call being permitted currently, the call control unit sending to a main control unit the call initiating ready message, wherein the message includes the fast call initiating number; and in accordance with the call initiating ready message, the main control unit sending the call initiating signaling to a base station scheduling subsystem. The invention changes the existing serial process to a parallel process by changing and optimizing the call initiating processing procedure of the digital trunking communication terminal, in additional, the invention improves the call initiating speed of the user effectively by means of the method for dismissing or delaying the events unrelated with the call initiating message, therefore further meeting the requirement of the digital trunking user.
