<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immobilizer system that maintains a high security against unauthorized use of a device such as an automobile, using an engine as the power source, while achieving the quickening of start-up of the engine from detection of a key code. <P>SOLUTION: The start-up requirement for an engine 10 is set so that results of first/second authentication processing are affirmative. Therefore, it is possible to relatively quickly start up the engine 10. A first control unit 110 and a second control unit 120 are respectively newly connected to a battery 104 so as to switch from a power supply stop state to a power supply state. At that time, a first timer 112 and a second timer 122 respectively start clocking until each clocked time reaches a first reference time or a second reference time.
