PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coax connector not only capable of applying perfect shielding on an inner conductor to obtain excellent high-frequency performance, but also made easier to assemble an outer conductor, and enabled to be easily assembled. SOLUTION: A periphery of the inner conductor 2 is surrounded with a shield main body 4A consisting of an end-face shield part 41, side-face shield parts 42, 43, and a bottom-face shield part 44 of a shield member 4, a lead part 21 of the inner conductor 2 is to be covered with a rear-face shield part 45, and a lead part 33 as a substrate contact part of the outer conductor 3 is made protruded in a direction crossing a connector insertion-removal direction (a) to be positioned at a side face side of an insulation housing 1, whereby, the outer conductor 3 is prevented from getting larger in the connector insertion-removal direction (a), and a space is to be provided for pressing the end face of the outer conductor 3 from behind with a jig.
