PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch for a vehicle used for turning on and off control or the like of mainly a stop-lamp for vehicle, in which sure electrical contact and disconnection can be made with a simple structure. SOLUTION: Slits 12B and 14B are installed at the lower end of a fixed contact 12 and at the tip of an arm part 14A of a movable contact 14, and a plurality of contact portions 12C, 12D of the fixed contact 12 are formed at the vertically different positions, thereby, an arc is not generated at the contact portion 12C and the contact 14C, and a stable contact of the contact can be performed. Furthermore, by the slits 12B, 14B, a lubricant which is carbonized is hardly mixed, thereby a switch for vehicle can be obtained in which a sure electrical contact and disconnection can be made with a simple structure.
