PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet processing system having a rejected ticket processing apparatus which can be used offline by storing inspection results of paper sheets in a removable rejected ticket container. SOLUTION: When a section card C and a paper sheet P are supplied to a paper sheet processing apparatus 30, information specific to the section card C and an inspection result of the paper sheet P are stored in a memory part (nonvolatile memory) 40b of a rejected ticket container 40. In addition, when the rejected ticket container 40 is mounted in a rejected ticket processing machine 4, data stored in the memory part 40b is read and stored in a memory part 491. When an operator supplies the section card C and a rejected ticket Pr stored in the rejected ticket processing container 40 to the rejected ticket processing machine 4, the information specific to the section card C and the inspection result of the rejected ticket Pr are stored in the memory part 491 and non-inspectable tickets are rejected. The operator performs checks, counts and operations for them. Input data input from a display part 41 is checked against inspection data of the paper sheet P based on the information specific to the section card C stored in the memory part 491.
