PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of obtaining a display state on a display device side which is the destination of image transmission. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus creates image data, by using slide show setting information of the photographed image as additional information to the image (step S101-step S103). After transferring the image data, to which the slide show information is added to an external display device (step S104), the imaging apparatus predicts the state of the display device, based on the transferred image and the slide show information (step S105), and displays the predicted state of the display device in a display part (step S106).
