PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the processing efficiency of image connection processing. SOLUTION: A camera head 111 has a plurality of imaging devices provided to be fit into the field of an objective and picking up the image of one field of the objective. A connection/attribute generation part 164 connects a plurality of picked-up images picked up by the plurality of imaging devices respectively when picking up the image of one field of the objective as a one-field image that is the image of one field of the objective. When the one-field images of observation field are connected, the plurality of connected one-field images are connected as a sample image that is the image of a sample.
