PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a simple and compact configuration for a personal digital assistant having a display panel capable of effectively protecting the display panel from a shock. SOLUTION: The personal digital assistant 100 is configured such that a liquid crystal display 146 is held by an inner frame 110 provided inside a case 102. On one side of the case 102 covering the inner frame 110, a display window 107 for viewing the liquid crystal display 146 is formed and, on the other side of the case 102 covering the opposite side of the display window 107, elastically deformable buffer ribs 108 and 109 supporting the inner frame 110 are formed. When such a shock as to push the liquid crystal display 146 to the buffer ribs 108 and 109 side is applied from the outside of the case 102, the buffer ribs 108 and 109 are elastically deformed to make the inner frame 110 retreat, and the shock to the liquid crystal display 146 is absorbed.
