PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press die and a press method, capable of continuously performing the bending process and the straightening process in one step with a simple constitution while suppressing generation of wrinkles. SOLUTION: The press dies 1 for bending a plate workpiece W at a negative angle are arranged opposite to each other, and provided with a pair of dies 10, 20 to be relatively advanced/retracted to/from each other. One die 10 comprises a bent blade 11 for pressing a bent portion of the workpiece W, and a supporting mechanism 12 for rockably supporting the bent blade 11. The other die 20 comprises a die 21 having a negative angle part 21a with respect to the pressing direction, and a backup guide 22 for rocking the bent blade 11 supported by the supporting mechanism 12 corresponding to the negative angle part 21a of the die 21, accompanying the relative approaching movement in the press direction of the bent blade 11 with respect to the die 21.
