THROW-AWAY TIP AND ROTARY CUTTING TOOL USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throw-away tip which is formed in a circular or regular polygonal flat plate shape as a basic profile, and allows a cutting edge section that actually carries out cutting operation to be replaced with another one by changing a currently working location by changing a mounting surface, wherein the throw-away tip reduces cutting resistance and ensures vibration prevention effect without shifting the phase of a tip seat formed in a tool main body, by contriving the shape of a cutting edge. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the throw-away tip, the plurality of mounting surfaces 7 which are to be supported by a seat side surface of the tip seat, are formed on a side surface 3, and the cutting edge 5 includes the first to n-th (n≥2) cutting edge sections 5a-1to 5a-n. Then the cutting edge section that actually carries out cutting operation when one of the mounting surfaces 7 is supported by the seat side surface, is made different in shape from the cutting edge section that actually carries out cutting operation when the other mounting surface 7 adjacent to the former is supported by the seat side surface.
