Class 20(4) A panel matching and retaining strip particularly for motor vehicle head linings comprises a flexible strip preferably of metal having a head part 26, web parts 28, base flanges 30 and spaced apart slits 36 extending through the head and web parts to increase flexibility at the end portions of the strip, the width of the slit at the web parts being greater than at the head part so that on maximum flexure the edges of the slits in the head portion abut. The strip co-operates with a cap strip 52 having an inner channel 56 engaging grooves 58 on the head part 26 and an outer channel 54 engaging and holding in position the ceiling panels 34. The ends of the strip are bent at 32 to support the panel ends. |
