DRIVING CIRCUIT FOR PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

A driving circuit of a plasma display panel is provided to reduce heat generation in the driving circuit by supplying a sustain discharge voltage waveform to a Y electrode stably while reducing the number of switching elements. A method for driving a plasma display panel includes a reset section for uniformizing a wall charge, an address section for separating a discharge cell and a non-discharge cell, and a sustain section for performing sustain discharge of the selected discharge cell. The sustain discharge voltage and the ground voltage are supplied to a scan element unit(70) through a switch(SW3) for applying the sustain discharge voltage and the switch(SW4) for applying the ground voltage respectively.
