A method for processing information about the authenticated state and a broadcast receiving device are provided to enable a broadcast transmitting stage to monitor the authentication information of the broadcast receiving device and the cause of a failure in real time. A cable card(200) comprises digital certification information. When the cable card is mounted on a host(100), the cable card performs a mutual authentication process with the host. A controller(110) comprises the digital certification information of the host connected with the cable card. The controller collects information about the authenticated state which is generated during the mutual authentication process, and then converts the collected information according to the network management protocol. A transmission unit(109) transmits the authentication state information converted by the controller to a management server of a broadcast transmitting stage.
