Train control system establishing radio communication between a plurality of on-train radio control apparatuses moving on a predetermined path and a plurality of ground train radio control units disposed along a predetermined path, so as to establish parallel simultaneous radio communications on a plurality of radio communication channels of various communication frequencies between the plurality of on-train radio communication apparatuses and the plurality of ground train radio control units, wherein
one radio communication channel is selected out of the plurality of radio communication channels to perform an authentication request and an authentication process, wherein an encryption key obtained by the authentication process is used as a common encryption key shared by the plurality of on-train radio control units to encrypt data communication between the plurality of on-train radio control units and the plurality of ground train radio control units.
