Process for water removal from sugar syrupus consists in an azeotropic extraction, carried out by adding a suitable substance up to the appropriate azeotropic ratio with water. Therewith formed are two phases, a liquid one and a solid one, easily separated from each other at atmospheric pressure and room temperature. The advantage of this procedure compared to the other is in that it is completed quickly and efficiently at atomspheric pressure and room temperature, with commercially cost-effective solvent, with no water vaporing, and demands no energy and additional investments into equipment. This invention is found in a wide range of applications for coagulation of sugar in sugar plants.
