A condiment grinder includes tapered inner grinding element 8 spaced apart from an outer grinding element (6, fig.1) with a space therebetween which defines the size of the ground product. A shaft 3 is connected at one end to the inner grinding element 8 for operating the grinder. Screw threads 11 formed on the shaft 3 and an adjuster knob 28 are engaged such that rotation of the adjuster knob 28 directly moves the inner grinding element 8 axially for adjusting the size of the ground condiment. A sleeve 16 fixed to the inner grinding element 8 slides axially on the shaft 3 but is fixed to rotate with the shaft 3. Mating snap-acting connectors (27, 35, fig.3) on the sleeve and the adjuster knob are joined by elastic deformation. |
