The light emitting diode (LED) lighting device comprises a LED (1) with a main radiation pattern in a light emission of the LED and a light conducting body (3). The light distribution in a cutting plane defines a light distribution curve (12,14,18), where the main radiation pattern of the LED lies in the cutting plane. The light distribution curve has a main maximum and a secondary maximum, where the main maximum lies asymmetrically according to the main radiation pattern of the LED. An independent claim is included for a light with a circuit board.
