<p>A buckle device (1) includes an enclosure (11) opened at one end for inserting a tongue provided on a seatbelt (4), a buckle section (12) that is engaged with the inserted tongue and switches (13a, 13b) for sensing the engagement of the buckle section and the tongue, the buckle section (12) and the switches (13a, 13b) being disposed in the enclosure (11). A wire (14) is pivotably supported at both ends in the enclosure, and a bent end of the wire (14) is rotatably supported by a fixed member (8) on a side of a seat. The enclosure is supported on the side of the seat so as to be capable of swinging freely, and a protective cover (18) of an accordion shape for storing the wire and signal cables (17) connected to the switches is mounted between the enclosure and the fixed member. A holder (19) formed of a rigid resilient member is fitted on part of the wire in the protective cover (18).</p> |
